In the paper industry manufacturing process, a large amount of water is consumed, resulting in significant wastewater containing high concentrations of suspended solids (SS), BOD (biochemical oxygen demand), and COD (chemical oxygen demand). In this seminar, we will introduce the differences and correlations between BOD, COD, and TOC measurements, as well as methods for online wastewater monitoring. We will also present examples of how TOC measurement can be utilized not only for compliance with wastewater regulations but also for managing product loss.
