Standard thread gauges consist of a pair of gauges, including a thread plug gauge and a thread ring gauge, which are precisely matched and made based on the reference profile and dimensions of the threads. They are used not only to inspect threaded parts by checking the degree of fit between the gauges but also as a standard for comparative measurement of thread dimensions.
