The carrier (polymer-coated carrier core) is used for supplying toner as part of an electrostatic photographic system. The carrier attracts the toner and carries it to the photosensitive drum, where the toner forms a latent image. The toner is released from the carrier due to the impact of contact and electrostatic forces. Once the toner has been delivered to the photosensitive drum, the carrier returns to the container of developer to carry the next batch of toner. Heganes' carrier cores consist of pure iron and magnetite. Heganes has developed these powders to possess excellent characteristics in important factors such as soft magnetism, particle size distribution, low density, flowability, powder morphology, and electrical performance.
