We can efficiently and cost-effectively strip the paint from large products!! We can also process the surface preparation for repainting at the same time!!
There are various methods for stripping paint from steel products, but with large shot blasting, continuous processing of a large volume of products is possible.

basic information
Shot blasting is a type of physical surface treatment method (blasting process) that involves spraying abrasive material onto a substrate. Shot blasting can simultaneously remove rust, oxide scale (mill scale), and welding spatter from steel, prepare surfaces for painting, and improve strength through cold working (peening), resulting in a significant increase in work efficiency. Among blasting processes, sandblasting uses compressed air to spray abrasive materials, while shot blasting is characterized by the direct projection from rotating blades called impellers. Shot blasting has more than ten times the projection efficiency compared to sandblasting, making it suitable for blasting processing of large surface area products like fabricated cans. (The shot blasting used at Yamakage Iron Works is of this type.) There are various types of abrasives in terms of material (metallic, resin, etc.), shape (spherical, polyhedral, etc.), and particle size, but Yamakage Iron Works uses spherical steel (steel shot), allowing for processing without distorting the work material.

Company information
We primarily focus on large shot blasting processing, and we handle everything in-house from material cutting to can manufacturing, painting, and machining. In particular, our shot blasting can accommodate products up to 2m x 2m, allowing for continuous processing of large items. With shot blasting, we can efficiently and cost-effectively remove rust, prepare surfaces for painting, and eliminate mill scale from large steel products. We also offer emergency responses for shot blasting processing, so please feel free to consult us with any inquiries.
