[Sample available] Powder additive utilizing the properties of PTFE! Provides performance such as slip resistance, abrasion resistance, and scratch prevention to plastics, coatings, and inks!
The KT/KTL series is a fine powder of fluororesin (PTFE) developed with our unique technology. It is widely used as an additive to improve the friction and wear properties of synthetic resins, paints, printing inks, and more. By simply adding the KT/KTL series to synthetic resins, paints, and printing inks, various properties such as excellent sliding properties, non-stickiness, heat resistance, water and oil repellency, chemical resistance, and weather resistance unique to PTFE can be imparted. The polymer grade of the KT/KTL series does not decompose or melt flow above its melting point, allowing it to be added to resins with molding temperatures above 400°C. The particle size is designed with the dispersion state in the base material in mind, enabling uniform dispersion simply by stirring or kneading. The sintered grades of the KT/KTL series do not require a heat treatment process, allowing PTFE's inherent sliding properties to be exhibited even in resins with low molding temperatures or in processes that do not involve heat. The diverse lineup of the KT/KTL series, each with its own characteristics, is not limited to the world of synthetic resins, paints, and printing inks, but is also being expanded into a variety of sliding materials, broadening the possibilities of tribology.

basic information
The features of the KT series, which has the highest heat resistance, are: - Completely sintered high molecular weight PTFE micro powder - The highest heat-resistant grade - No generation of decomposition gases at temperatures above 400°C - Does not melt flow even above the melting point, maintaining a uniform dispersion state at high temperatures - FDA compliant The features of the KTL series for plastic compounds are: - Completely sintered PTFE micro powder - Minimal changes in volume and shape around the melting point, ensuring strength and dimensional stability of molded products - Low generation of decomposition gases at high temperatures - Minimal melt flow/breed-out even above the melting point - Excellent flowability and dispersibility, allowing for automatic supply - Acts as an internal lubricant and release agent at temperatures above the melting point - FDA compliant The features of the KTL series for paints and inks are: - Completely sintered low molecular weight PTFE micro powder - Particles are hard and resistant to crushing - Particle shape is close to rounded with softened edges - Can be dispersed into solvents and varnishes with light stirring - Can be blended at high concentrations in resins and liquids without foaming or thickening - FDA compliant

Model number | overview |
---|---|
KT-300M, KT-400M, KT-600M | Completely sintered high molecular weight PTFE fine powder. It is the most heat-resistant grade, with no generation of decomposition gases at temperatures above 400°C. Additionally, it does not melt flow even above its melting point, maintaining a uniform dispersion state even at high temperatures. FDA compliant (21 CFR 177.1550, 175.300). |
KTL-450A, KTL-450, KTL-620, KTL-610 | Completely sintered PTFE fine powder. Due to minimal changes in volume and shape around the melting point, it does not affect the strength and dimensional stability of molded products. It generates fewer decomposition gases at high temperatures, and there is little melt flow/breed-out even above the melting point. Compared to the KT series, it has superior flowability and dispersibility, allowing for automatic feeding. It acts as an internal lubricant and release agent at temperatures above the melting point. FDA compliant (21 CFR 175.300) (KTL-645 is also compliant with 177.1550). |
KTL-20N, KTL-10S, KTL-9S, KTL-8N, KTL-4N, KTL-2N, KTL-1N | Completely sintered low molecular weight PTFE fine powder. The particles are hard and resistant to crushing. With a particle shape close to rounded and smooth, they can be easily dispersed in solvents and varnishes with light stirring. Since it does not foam or thicken, it can be blended at high concentrations in resins and liquids. FDA compliant (21 CFR 175.300). |
KTL-8F, KTL-8FH | Agglomerated particles of unsintered low molecular weight PTFE fine powder. It consists of small particle aggregates that can be further reduced in size through strong dispersion. The particles are soft and easily deformable. They have a large specific surface area and are less likely to settle when dispersed in liquids. They have a high oil absorption capacity and tend to surface in coatings. FDA compliant (21 CFR 175.300). |
KTL-500F | Fine powder with approximately 50% of particles around 0.3μm dispersed as close to primary particles as possible. It can be used in a state dispersed in liquids at below 1μm. It suppresses the stickiness and fibrillation characteristic of fine powders, making it easy to handle. FDA compliant (21 CFR 175.300). |
