basic information
【Course Objectives and Goals】 This course is aimed at individuals who are not usually involved with friction and wear (tribology) and therefore do not possess systematic knowledge in this area, but who often find themselves needing to engage in design or measures related to friction and wear (or may do so in the future). Participants will acquire the fundamental knowledge necessary when using plastics as sliding materials. After learning the basics of general friction and wear, the course will cover the fundamentals of friction and wear of plastics, various conditions that affect the friction and wear of plastics, and the friction and wear characteristics under each condition from a practical perspective.
