[Lecture Summary] In the context of Abenomics, the medical device industry is expected to develop further, with the government promising support. Among these, catheters are important medical devices. I will explain the biocompatibility and safety required for catheters, including standards, regulations, test items, and test content. Furthermore, I will introduce what is necessary for the regulatory procedures to obtain approval for the manufacturing and sales of medical devices from the government, focusing on plastic raw materials. This requires obtaining necessary information from raw material manufacturers. Additionally, I will explain the relationships between the two companies and product liability.
