This is a swab used for "wipe tests" conducted in food and medical settings.
- Efficient detection of surface-adhering bacteria and measurement of bacterial counts is possible. - The larger cap makes it easy to hold even while wearing gloves. - The soft plastic makes it easy to squeeze cotton balls. Raspa Check is a swab used for "wiping tests" conducted in food and medical settings. Wiping tests can capture surface adherences in environments without being limited by curved or uneven surfaces. Using the swab, surfaces of cutting boards, hands, food ingredients, medical instruments, and medical equipment are wiped, and through the dilution method and streaking method, detection of surface-adhering bacteria and measurement of bacterial counts are performed.

basic information
Swabbing Method 1) Wipe a fixed area of the surface (e.g., 10cm x 10cm) vigorously and thoroughly in all directions at an angle of approximately 20-30°, allowing the rinse solution to be sufficiently extracted to create a sample solution. 2) Dispense 1mL of the sample solution into a Petri dish, then add approximately 15-20mL of pre-sterilized and temperature-controlled (48-50°C) culture medium to the Petri dish, mix thoroughly by rotating it in all directions, and allow it to solidify in a horizontal position for cultivation under appropriate conditions. 3) Convert the number of bacteria in the extracted liquid to a viable count per unit area of the swab. (Example) Viable count per cm² = Average colony count/mL × Volume of extracted liquid ÷ Swabbed area
