**Lecture 2: Purpose of the Presentation** Hollow particles exhibit many distinctive functions due to their structure, compared to the solid particles that have been widely used until now. Many applications that leverage these characteristics are being considered. Furthermore, the ability to mass-produce nanosized hollow particles has led to increasingly active research in various applications. Among these are applications that demonstrate unique properties that could not be achieved with conventional micron-sized hollow particles. One such example is the superthermal effect. In this presentation, I would like to introduce methods for creating materials that utilize the functions of these hollow particles, including particle synthesis methods, particle dispersion methods, and composite methods, along with practical examples.
