【Course Overview】 In the subsequent processes of coating, vapor deposition, printing, laminating, rewinding, etc., which are carried out in continuous production from roll to roll, slitting is performed according to the intended use, resulting in the final product. Currently, due to the adoption of small-lot production of various types and frequent split production in any processing stage, many issues such as defective products, non-conforming products, and increased waste are commonly observed in the finished products. In the final slitting process, there are many troubles that cannot be addressed within the process itself, which leads to increased waste in the slitting stage. To reduce these losses, it is necessary to implement trouble countermeasures that include the preceding processes. This presentation will introduce and explain the main points and examples related to these issues.
