We accept orders for various rare metals and materials such as platinum wires and sheets, as well as processed products, in small lots.
**Rare Metals** Our company handles about 15 types, including tungsten, tantalum, molybdenum, titanium, and nickel. **Examples of Rare Metal Products** Filaments for light bulbs, discharge lamp electrodes, materials for electronic tubes, welding electrodes, electrical contacts, heating elements, thermal shielding materials. **Platinum** Platinum is a very stable metal for physical and analytical instruments due to its high melting point and low heat capacity. Its main characteristics include durability, chemical resistance, heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, and catalytic properties.

basic information
Here are the main characteristics of rare metals: 【Tungsten】 - Has the highest melting point among metals (3422 °C) and relatively high electrical resistance for a metal. - Tungsten alloys and tungsten carbide have very high hardness. - Weighs almost the same as gold, 2.5 times heavier than iron, and 1.7 times heavier than lead. - Disadvantage: prone to oxidation. 【Molybdenum】 - Has a high melting point (2623 °C). - Reacts with oxygen and halogens at high temperatures. Has strong mechanical strength at high temperatures. - Disadvantage: prone to oxidation. Oxidation begins at room temperature in the air. 【Tantalum】 - Has a high melting point (3000 °C). - Becomes passive in the air and has corrosion resistance. Particularly, tantalum is highly resistant to acids. - Disadvantage: In recent years, prices have surged significantly, making it difficult to obtain. 【Titanium】 - Titanium has corrosion resistance comparable to platinum. It is less prone to metal fatigue than other metals. - It hardly reacts with acids or saline solutions (seawater) at room temperature, making it resistant to rust. - Disadvantage: difficult to machine, weak against wear, and prone to seizing and galling.

KAI Semiconductor was established in September 2002 as a venture company originating from Kyoto Institute of Technology. It sells surface modification devices and deposition equipment using plasma technology. The powder plasma device released in 2010 was recognized for its high technical capabilities and received the "Kansai Front Runner Award" and the "Small and Medium Enterprises Technology Award." There are numerous implementation records at universities nationwide, AIST, major manufacturers, and R&D departments. We propose sales after you have had the opportunity to touch the actual product (demo unit). Additionally, we offer rental and leasing options to reduce the burden on our customers. We also accept various technical consultations beyond semiconductor-related matters. Furthermore, we process and sell quartz and Pyrex in small lots.
