A new composite material that maximizes the super thermal conductivity of the core substrate at 1700 W/mk, allowing for brazing and soldering to heat sources and heat spreaders.
This is a metalized composite product that forms various thin and thick films of graphite using the dry and wet element technologies of the R&D venture TGC, making it the world's first of its kind. It is a bestseller among the popular Comproid series.

basic information
This composite has variations including metallized plates made of titanium, nickel, aluminum, gold, silver, copper, and others. In particular, the composite Au, which has a gold plating on the metallized plate, allows for effective soldering to copper heat dissipation components and good wettability to metal materials, maximizing the thermal conductivity of the core substrate at 1700 W/mk. By constructing a direct heat path through soldering and brazing, it is possible to minimize the thermal resistance from air or thermal grease between the heating element and the heat sink.

Applications/Examples of results
We have received excellent evaluations and trust for heat dissipation and thermal diffusion in high current and high frequency ICs (such as IGBTs, SiC power devices, optical communications, and highly integrated memory). We can accommodate the size according to customer requirements. The thickness of the gold plating can be controlled from nm to μm. Due to the ensured adhesion in thermal cycle tests and thermal shock tests, soldering is possible even in lead-free reflow atmospheres.

The encounter with the miraculous 1700 W/mk ultra-high thermal conductivity graphite, which everyone had almost given up on commercializing, was the reason our company, Thermographics, was established on July 1, 2009. As a result of collaborative research and development with numerous customers, we have been developing a range of composite products made from ultra-high thermal conductivity graphite under our original brand "Comproid" since October 2011. Within two years of its launch, Comproid achieved over 150 prototype results and has garnered attention and support mainly from customers in the automotive, aerospace, medical device, and computer industries, with full-scale mass production starting in March 2012.
