The D/MS A/B series is a soldered connection connector compatible with the MIL-DTL-5015 standard. There is a wide variety of combinations of plugs, receptacles, and accessories, making it suitable for both cable extension and panel connection use. With 12 shell sizes (#10SL to #36) and 5 contact sizes (#16 to #0), as well as 73 different insert arrangements, a diverse range of combinations is possible. basic information
● A barrier is established between each contact terminal of the insert, increasing the creepage distance between contacts to improve dielectric strength performance. ● Both the plug shell and the receptacle shell can incorporate pin inserts and socket inserts (excluding the 10SL size). ● When using high voltage and high current with the D/MS A/B series, it is recommended to use socket contacts on the output side and pin contacts on the input side to prevent accidents. ● The plug shell has a key groove and the receptacle shell has a key, which prevents incorrect insertion even when similar connectors are used side by side by changing this angle (see page 8). ● The solder cups of the contacts embedded in the insert are aligned in a specific direction, making wiring easy. ● The surface treatment of the shell is a black trivalent chromate treatment compliant with the RoHS directive (MIL-DTL-5015: cadmium-plated OD color treatment). ● Connectors with 20 or more cores have the insertion and extraction force of the contacts set slightly lower within the MIL standard range, allowing for easy insertion and extraction by hand.
