By utilizing a data link system that connects the spiral bevel gear grinding machine and the gear inspection machine, it becomes easy to manufacture hypoid gear electrodes for precision forged molds. The precision forged gears that are ultimately produced from hypoid gear electrodes made based on theoretical values (nominal data) exhibit discrepancies in pressure angle, twist, and dimensions when compared to the electrodes. By conducting comparative measurements, we can identify the differences (GAP) in the precision forged gears and reprocess them using the tooth shape correction program (KOMET) to bring them closer to the theoretical values. By repeating this series of operations, we can manufacture precision forged gears that are nearly identical to the theoretical tooth shape data, achieving solid processing (machining from solid material) for the electrodes of hypoid gear precision forging molds for a certain transportation machinery manufacturer.
