Inquire About This Product
basic information
Electroforming is a type of electroplating technology that allows for the deposition of electrolyzed metal ions onto the surface of a model (prototype), enabling the extremely faithful replication and reproduction of the model's shape and surface texture. Since the electroformed plating layer is stripped from the prototype to create the product, the electroformed product will have a shape that is the exact opposite of the prototype, even down to the finest details of the surface. While a single electroforming can produce a finished product in the opposite shape from the prototype, it is also possible to perform further electroforming on the stripped finished product to obtain a product that is identical in shape to the prototype. Materials for electroformed products include copper, nickel, gold, and silver. Additionally, it is possible to create electroformed items with a multilayer structure by combining these metals. [Regarding Size] We can produce copper electroformed products up to approximately 2m x 1m and nickel electroformed products up to about 1m x 0.5m. [Regarding Thickness] In copper electroforming, we have achieved thicknesses of up to 30 mm. Other metal electroformed products can also be manufactured to the same thickness, but typically, most products are below 1 to 2 mm in thickness.
