I analyzed the airflow in the subway station using the moving boundary problem.
It is known that there are significant speed and pressure fluctuations at the front and rear of vehicles running in narrow spaces such as tunnels and subway stations. In this analysis, we conducted simulations regarding the impact on the area around the platform (airflow, pressure) when a train passes, using the moving boundary problem. 【Analysis Model and Conditions】 ○ The analysis space is the subway station where the train runs, centered around the platform, with a length of 240.0m, a width of 17.0m, and a height of 30.0m. ○ The size of the train is 50.0m in length, 3.0m in width, and 3.5m in height. ○ In the model, two trains pass through the analysis space at a speed of 22.2m/sec (80km/h). ○ The total number of grids is 768×62×41=1,952,256. 【Analysis Results】 ○ Visualization of the wind speed distribution around the train body during its passage. → Intense airflow is generated around the front and rear ends of the vehicle. → A significant residual wind speed remains on the platform even after the vehicle has passed. ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
