We would like to introduce some of the items we exhibited at the "16th Mechanical Components Technology Exhibition."
The photo shows a large and processed king piece from a shogi set. It is made of transparent acrylic material, and I carved the characters in a semi-cursive style. To reproduce the characters beautifully, I used a R0.5 ball end mill, which significantly increased the processing time, but the sense of achievement upon completion was rewarding. After processing, I meticulously polished it by hand. The transparent material gives it a sense of luxury, and at the exhibition, many people stopped to admire it, receiving great acclaim. Some visitors even stroked it with their hands.
