It is a non-contact micro-dispensing system for the production of biochips and biosensors using an inkjet-type dispensing module.
In the production of biochips such as DNA arrays and protein arrays, it is necessary to dispense small amounts of various reagents in different patterns and at precise locations. The AD6000 is a platform designed to perform these complex micro-dispensing tasks stably and accurately.

Applications/Examples of results
■Manufacturing of Electrode Chips for Biosensors■ In the production of electrode chips for biosensors, such as glucose meters, stable dispensing of reagents with complex liquid properties is required. Moreover, as the sample size decreases, the electrodes are also being miniaturized, leading to even smaller dispensing amounts of reagents.

Our company, BioDot Japan Co., Ltd., was established in February 2012 as the Japanese subsidiary of BioDot Inc. in the United States, and we have been supplying various diagnostic reagents and production equipment. BioDot Inc. is a venture company founded in 1994 in Irvine, California. The company’s self-developed non-contact micro-dispenser system (patented) has become the de facto standard for the development and production of immunochromatographic reagents and enzyme sensor reagents, widely used around the world. Additionally, the company has continuously commercialized peripheral devices, which have now become essential support equipment in these fields. However, we believe that in order to further advance the increasingly important clinical testing technologies, it is necessary to provide a wide range of raw materials, information, and services from both domestic and international sources, not just BioDot products. Therefore, we transformed into ForDix Co., Ltd. in December 2015. The technology for diagnostic reagents developed through clinical testing is also applied in food testing and environmental testing, supporting our lives beyond the medical field. As a company that supports those who research, develop, and commercialize these areas, we will strive to become a trusted presence.
