The Fairchild vacuum control regulator has extremely high sensitivity characteristics and can control from a shallow vacuum near atmospheric pressure to a maximum of -736 kPa. The product series consists of model 16 and the high flow model 1600A, both of which excel in repeatability and guarantee stable control.

The product features a double diaphragm structure, and its sensitivity characteristics are ultra-high, ranging from 31 Pa to 127 Pa, thanks to its appropriate area and flexible materials. This product is utilized in various applications, including control of sample gas introduction systems in analytical devices, transport system control, various testing devices, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and vulcanization machine control in tire factories. There are two methods of use. One method involves piping on the outside of a vacuum container to send atmospheric or positive pressure to the vacuum side, while the other method involves installation in the bypass system between the vacuum container and the vacuum pump. Additionally, with other piping methods, the product can also accommodate control requirements that span both positive and negative pressure ranges, depending on the application.

Dual Pressure Regulator for Positive and Negative Pressure Models 16 and 1600A series are dual-purpose types that can be set for both vacuum and positive pressure. Both vacuum and positive pressure can be precisely controlled due to their high sensitivity characteristics, and they can accommodate various applications by selecting the appropriate piping connection. Fig. 2 shows the connection method for vacuum only, where responsiveness and exhaust speed are related solely to the capacity of the vacuum pump. This connection allows for rapid setting. Fig. 3 shows the piping for dual pressure setting (positive and negative pressure).
