The wooden shelves along the approach to the national treasure Horyu-ji Temple have been made from ironwood.
We have produced the wooden shelves for the approach to the national treasure Horyu-ji using ironwood. The shelves are made using a pattern assembly method, and there are few right-angle joints; instead, there are slight angles. Processing this with chisels and other tools is a challenging task for carpenters. Since we are capable of alternative processing, we were approached by the design teacher, and the production was carried out by our company.
