The price, including the power supply, ranges from 7 to 8 million yen, with a goal of selling 30 units in the first year. The developed device measures stress, which refers to the load that remains in the metal during processing. Weighing 3.5 kilograms, it measures stress by positioning it close to iron and measuring the angle of X-ray reflection. Sales will begin on June 1. When bent metal is used for an extended period, the balance of stress can be disrupted due to surface wear and tear, leading to cracks and other issues. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the stress or replace parts. Previously, measurements were cumbersome as they required large equipment.

The combined weight of the main unit and power supply unit is 9.5 kilograms, making it portable. The power consumption is kept to 20 watts. The price starts at 700,000 yen. The company aims to sell 30 units annually to manufacturers of conveying equipment parts and similar industries. The measurement time has been reduced from about one hour for conventional products to approximately 90 seconds. X-rays are emitted from a distance of 3 centimeters over a range of 2 millimeters in diameter, and the reflected light is measured to assess strain. By focusing the inspection function on the strain of metal surfaces, the device achieves miniaturization and cost reduction. Traditional non-destructive testing devices can measure atomic distances and analyze components in detail, but they are large, not portable, and expensive.
