1. Modulates RS-232c signals to enable long-distance transmission over optical fiber. By utilizing optical fiber, it avoids troubles caused by noise and lightning protection measures. It supports H-PCF, multi-mode fiber, and single-mode fiber products. Optical transmission of up to 30 km is possible. 2. Control signal transmission. Control signals (RTS/CTS signals), ready signals (DTR/DSR), and carrier signals (DCD) are also transmitted transparently. 3. Cross-connection. By setting the switch, control signals can be internally looped back to disable handshaking. This eliminates the need to loop signals within the cable when connecting DTE devices to each other. 4. Connection status monitoring. It monitors the reception status of the RS-232c port and optical port, allowing for display via LEDs and monitoring through rack options. 5. Remote monitoring. By setting the switch, the connection status can be notified to the opposite device. The opposite device can monitor the connection status on the remote side through LED displays or rack mount options.
