Part 2: Excerpt from the Lecture Summary This presentation will explain the basics and applications of foaming molding in an intuitive way, without using complicated formulas. Foaming molding is a method of shaping foaming resins to obtain porous plastics. There are chemical and physical foaming agents that impart foaming properties to the resin. Foaming molding has been widely used in combination with processes such as injection molding, extrusion molding, and blow molding. The first half will provide a general overview of the types of foaming agents used in foaming molding and the different types of foaming molding. The second half will explain micro-injection foaming molding (MuCell) using supercritical fluids and core-back foaming, introducing methods for lightweighting products and practical examples, focusing on automotive applications.
