Traditionally, this fully automatic gas replacement function was a specialized feature of high-performance upper models. Recently, there has been a trend in research and development of lithium-ion batteries that requires very strict management of moisture and oxygen levels inside glove boxes. In particular, when bringing samples or equipment in from the pass box, it is generally considered effective to perform gas replacement three times or more to shut out the moisture and oxygen that may enter. However, performing gas replacement more than three times requires considerable time and effort due to valve operations and gas introduction. This low-cost option 'APC' from UNICO allows you to set the vacuum time and the number of gas replacements, and then simply press the start button to complete the gas replacement automatically, significantly reducing the time spent on the traditional lengthy manual tasks.

The APC (Automatic Passbox Controller) is a device that automatically performs gas replacement operations in a passbox during the transport of samples without human intervention. It is an excellent feature that frees users and operators from the monotonous gas replacement tasks, which can occur several times, sometimes even dozens of times, before and during the sample transport. Like AGC, this was traditionally a dedicated function of high-end models, but it has been conceived and developed as UNICO's unique APC, offered at a low price. Furthermore, by equipping the interior of the passbox with a plate heater and combining it, further system upgrades are possible.
