The self-regulating heating cable "BTV Series" is primarily used for freeze prevention applications. The heat resistance of the BTV heating cable is 65°C for continuous use and 85°C for intermittent operation. Depending on the specific configuration of BTV products and their accessories, it can be used as an electric heating system in Class 1 and Class 2 hazardous locations in Japan. It is the first type approval system in the country and complies with JIS testing (JIS C 3651). The BTV-CR products have an outer layer made of polyolefin resin and can be used for water pipes and tanks. The BTV-CT products have an outer layer made of fluororesin, making them suitable for general areas exposed to acids, alkalis, and organic substances, as well as for Class 1 and Class 2 hazardous locations.
