Vehicle Requirements for Conductive Polymer Hybrid Aluminum Electrolytic and Laminated Ceramic Capacitors
Part 1 [Lecture Summary] In response to the demand for miniaturization of automotive products, various characteristics are required for each capacitor in relation to implementation technology. This will be explained, including reliability. Part 2 [Lecture Summary] We have successfully achieved high voltage (25-63V) by adding an electrolyte based on this conductive polymer, and have released it to the market as a "conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitor." We believe this will significantly contribute to the miniaturization of drive inverter circuits for brushless DC motors, which have seen remarkable adoption in the automotive ECU market. In this seminar, we will explain the technical overview of hybrid capacitors, including comparisons with aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Part 3 [Lecture Overview] Technically, thinning and multilayering are being rapidly advanced for miniaturization and high capacity. To further promote thinning and multilayering in the future, the importance of the manufacturing process, along with the dielectric and internal electrodes, is increasing. We will discuss the essential technological elements and various materials needed for the further development of multilayer ceramic capacitors from a materials technology perspective. We plan to address not only the ideal state of dielectric materials but also innovations in electrode materials and process technology.
