**Lecture Summary** This seminar will first provide an overview of the classification, characteristics, and applications of bioplastics, including biodegradable plastics. Next, it will explain the basic properties of polylactic acid, as well as the current status and challenges of high-performance and high-functionality technologies, material design technologies, molding and processing technologies, and product and application development, in a way that is easy to understand for beginners to intermediate participants.
