EDFA preamplifier with automatic gain control (AGC) support
The FRM220-OAP17 is a multifunctional, low-noise amplifier (EDFA) designed for metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) applications. The FRM220-OAP17 is installed on the receiving side of the optical connection. It features medium to low input power sensitivity, medium output power, and medium gain, and is designed for optical amplification to compensate for the losses of the demultiplexer on the receiving side. The FRM220-OAP17 provides automatic gain control (AGC) through management via a chassis and an RS-232 console interface. With its fast transient suppression function, it can maintain the output power at a constant level when the input power changes rapidly.
