If we can fully utilize their capabilities, it will be possible to realize a circular energy society. This time, I will introduce Denso's efforts to advance research and development, taking steps closer to the realization of such a society. **Part 3: Overview of the Lecture** Using microorganisms isolated in our laboratory, we explored methods for efficiently producing bioethanol from seaweeds, particularly brown algae such as kombu. Establishing technology to efficiently manufacture bioethanol using seaweeds that grow in spaces other than our land, in a country lacking energy resources, is certainly not a waste.
