A new system for accurately and quickly surveying buildings in dangerous areas such as disaster-stricken regions.
Baum Station is an innovative total station equipped with a unique focal mirror called "Baum," which captures objects using concentric circular scales. By aligning both ends of a structure with one of the concentric circles, it is possible to measure the center of cylindrical structures that could not be measured with crosshairs. Additionally, by utilizing the scale width, the position of the object can be offset from the crosshairs, allowing for accurate measurement of coordinates at corners or sharp tips of structures where laser light has made measurement difficult. The concentric circles also accommodate displacement, making it suitable for dynamic observation. By using a CCD camera, continuous observation records can also be maintained. Since it can accurately measure structures that were previously impossible to measure, it significantly contributes to the maintenance and management of structures. Applications/Examples of results
◯ Management of the installation of "inclined piles," which are said to have better seismic resistance compared to regular foundation piles. By using two-point measurements, it is possible to capture the position in three dimensions (vertical, horizontal, height), allowing the tilt and installation position of the piles to be managed with a single total station. ◯ Measurement of cylindrical structures such as utility poles, signal poles, and chimneys. It is possible to measure the tilt and deflection of cylindrical structures like utility poles and signal poles, as well as create centerline position diagrams. The current shape (tilt and deformation) of aging chimneys can be measured. Continuous measurements allow for the analysis of changes over time. It is also possible to consider repair plans and timing for repairs. ◯ "Building measurement" during the installation of foundation piles, etc. It is possible to perform "building measurement" for cylindrical foundation piles (steel pipe piles, concrete piles, etc.) used in the foundations of buildings, structures, and civil engineering works with a single device. ◯ Measurement of corners of structures. Measurement is possible when the concentric circles (inner circle) of the berm can be aligned with two sides of the structure. ◯ Three-dimensional measurement of lightning rods (pointed objects) and the ends of structures. Measurement is possible when the concentric circles (inner circle) of the berm can be aligned. ● For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Our company was founded in 1995 with the aim of supporting the recovery from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The company name is derived from our unique measurement device "KUMONOS," which can quickly and accurately measure 0.2mm cracks from a distance of 100 meters. In 1998, we were the first in Japan to introduce a 3D laser scanner, and since then, we have developed 3D measurement and equipment introduction businesses to promote 3D laser scanner technology. Over the past 25 years, we have accumulated over 2,500 measurement achievements and approximately 300 equipment introductions, establishing ourselves as a leading company in 3D laser scanning in Japan. Our technology has received numerous ministerial awards from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, including the Japan Manufacturing Award. Additionally, our technology was introduced to world leaders at the G20 Osaka Summit, receiving high praise both domestically and internationally. Moving forward, we will continue to implement cutting-edge technology backed by our high technical capabilities and provide DX solutions across various fields.
