There is no polyimide film, and the copper foil itself serves as the base material. Attaching coverlay to both sides is similar to a double-sided type FPC, but in this case, there is only one layer of copper foil. The process involves attaching the coverlay to the underside of the copper foil, forming the pattern, and then attaching the coverlay to the top side.
