It is a flexible printed circuit board (FPC) with a copper foil layer in the center, sandwiched between insulating films, allowing for electrical contact from both sides. While it is a single-sided flexible printed circuit board (single-sided FPC) with one conductor layer, by opening the polyimide on both sides, it combines the functions of a double-sided flexible printed circuit board (double-sided FPC) and excels in flexibility and resistance to bending. Additionally, it can also be configured as a flexible printed circuit board with a "double-sided exposed structure (flying lead structure)" that has no insulating layer at all, consisting of bare conductors. This structure allows for the application of high-temperature connection methods since there are no organic materials around the conductors, making it widely used in high-density connections that require high reliability.
