An environmentally friendly ground improvement method that uses 100% natural material crushed stone. It prevents the collapse of the borehole walls with casing, allowing for stable quality construction.
The "Eco-GEO Method" is an environmentally friendly ground improvement technology developed through joint research between Mie University and Onabe Corporation, which uses only "crushed stone" without the need for cement or steel pipe piles. It can be utilized for ground improvement work for residential and small civil engineering structures. Furthermore, in September 2013, the "Eco-GEO ZERO," which can be constructed without soil disposal, was born. This made it possible to carry out construction in urban areas without disposal sites. It does not require cement plants, generators, or compressors that were necessary for conventional ground improvement work, and it allows for construction using a compact ground improvement machine (8-ton class) equipped with a uniquely developed EG casing (a steel tube with a rubber door) and a backhoe. The EG casing is driven into the ground, and crushed stone is filled and compacted into the space created during the extraction process. Because a compact ground improvement machine (approximately 2.0m wide) is used, construction can be performed even in narrow spaces. [Registered technology in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's 2012 Technical Matching Database for Know-how and Technology Transfer Support Project] For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

basic information
**Features** - The borehole walls do not collapse. By using casing, it can reliably prevent the collapse of borehole walls even in soft ground. - Easy construction. For the first time in the industry, the crushed stone compaction work has been automated. This enables stable quality construction without relying on the operator's skill. - Reliable construction records. The construction management device records everything, including "construction depth, crushed stone compaction torque, and the amount of crushed stone used." - Low vibration and noise. With low noise and no vibration, it minimizes the impact on the surrounding environment even in densely populated residential areas or near buildings. - Low environmental impact. The crushed stone has low CO2 emissions during the production stage. Additionally, there is no embedding of artificial foreign substances into the ground, which is common in most conventional methods, ensuring no industrial waste will be generated in the future. **Message and Notes** - It is attracting attention as a new field in the private market where civil engineering technology can be effectively utilized. - The residential ground improvement market is expected to see about 200,000 cases nationwide each year. - For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Applications/Examples of results
【Examples of Achievements】 ○ So far, it has been operational in Mie Prefecture and the Kanto region, with plans to expand to western Japan in the future. It is mainly used for ground improvement (reinforcement) in private residences, but it can also be applied to public works. Additionally, it is expected to be effective as a countermeasure against liquefaction during earthquakes. ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
