Our MMC (Metal Matrix Composites: composites of metal and ceramics) is a new material that combines aluminum alloy as the matrix material with ceramic reinforcements. The product we are introducing this time is die-cast MMC. While conventional sand-cast MMC was suitable for small-scale production, the die-casting method enables mass production, achieving significant cost reductions and lower processing costs. Recently, it has gained attention as a heat dissipation material with high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion, leading to increased adoption in thermal management solutions for power semiconductors such as IGBTs.
