Far infrared rays have linearity similar to light, making it difficult to heat the shaded areas of the object being heated. Typically, temperature increases through thermal conduction, but if that is not feasible, heating will need to be done while rotating the object. Far infrared straight heaters expand due to heat. For example, with a tube length of 1000 mm, at a surface temperature of 500°C, it expands by 7 to 8 mm, and at 600°C, it expands by 10 to 11 mm. Please maintain a distance from the furnace wall accordingly. The installation must allow one side to be free; otherwise, the heater will deform into a bow shape. The reflector should be made of stainless steel. While aluminum has better reflectivity, it is weak against heat and can oxidize. 【Notes】 ○ When closely arranging far infrared panel-type clean heaters, maintain a gap of at least 2 mm between cases. → Close contact can cause distortion due to thermal expansion. ○ When using three-phase power, design, arrange, and wire with balance in mind. ○ When using a leakage circuit breaker, ensure it has a leakage current of 100 mA or more. ○ Far infrared heating devices should not have a sealed structure; always provide an exhaust outlet. ○ Always ensure proper grounding. 【Points to Note】 ○ Check the power supply voltage and select a heater that is compatible with it. ○ The far-infrared heater is designed to operate at a maximum of 600°C. → Exceeding this temperature can cause the insulation material (magnesia) in straight heaters to lose its insulation resistance, and the ceramic material in ceramic heaters to degrade in insulation. ○ The surface color of the far-infrared heater does not change when powered on below 450°C. → Contacting it without knowledge can cause burns, so necessary safety measures should be taken. ○ Heaters cannot undergo explosion-proof certification on their own, so various heaters from AMK Co., Ltd. are not explosion-proof certified. → They cannot be used in explosion-proof environments like ink factories. ○ Connections of the heater should be tightened with sufficient torque. → If loose, the terminal area can become high-temperature and melt. ○ Since the operating temperature of the heater is high, double insulation is recommended for safety. ○ Use heat-resistant wires that are suitable for the operating environment and meet the specified thickness. → Heat-resistant wires have increased resistance values at higher temperatures, so caution is necessary. ○ For heaters with sensor wires and power wires, confirm the wiring to avoid mistakes before making connections. ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
