Glass fiber reinforced plastic *A plastic material with excellent chemical resistance.
Rishoraito
Re-emerging as a new material! A plastic that combines high strength, insulation properties, and chemical resistance.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) not only has excellent electrical insulation properties but also possesses heat resistance, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance, all while being a type of plastic. 【Features】 - The bending strength of a 1mm thick specimen is 450 megapascals, and the tensile strength is 350 megapascals. - The heat resistance temperature is 130°C. *Even after heat treatment at 180°C for 2 hours, there is no significant change in strength or dimensions. - The insulation resistance per 1mm of material is 28,000 volts. (JIS K 6911) - This plastic exhibits extremely low discoloration and dimensional changes due to aging. - Excellent chemical resistance to oils, solvents, acids, and alkalis. 【Applications】 - Machined into parts that require mechanical strength. - Areas where metals are unsuitable. - Areas requiring electrical insulation, thermal insulation, rust prevention, corrosion (electrolytic) prevention, and magnetization prevention. By replacing other materials you have been using with this, you can achieve improved functionality and cost reduction! *For more details, please download the catalog or contact us directly.

basic information
Glass fabric-based epoxy resin laminated sheets are made by stacking a predetermined number of substrates (called prepreg) that have been impregnated with epoxy resin into glass fabric, and then pressing them under high pressure while applying high temperatures. This results in glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP: Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic). [Alternative Example] Due to a specific gravity of about 1.8, it can be used as an alternative in situations where stainless steel (specific gravity ≈ 8.0) parts are employed for rust and corrosion prevention. Result: Achieved nearly 80% weight reduction. [Size] - Thickness varies by type. - Surface polishing can meet thickness accuracy requirements. - The standard size is 1000×1000mm, but longer sizes such as 1200mm, 1500mm, and 2000mm can be accommodated depending on the type. - Custom cutting to your desired size is also possible. *For more details, please download the catalog or contact us directly.

Detailed information
-
Bending strength test based on JIS K 6911.
-
Bending strength The bending strength of a 1mm thick test specimen is 450 megapascals. Many GFRP products are molded products based on thermoplastic resins. In contrast, glass cloth-based epoxy resin laminates are made by applying high heat to a substrate based on thermosetting resins while pressing at high pressure, resulting in excellent mechanical strength.
-
Examples of insulation used around coils (image) are often adopted in a way that they are machined into parts requiring mechanical strength and installed in places where metal would be inconvenient.
-
Examples of processing into insulating spacers Many GFRP products are molded using molds, but products made from glass fabric-based epoxy resin are obtained by "machining" from the material to achieve the desired shape.
-
We also offer laminated tubes made of epoxy resin with a glass fabric substrate in the shape of pipes.
-
Industrial winding core This is a hollow structure winding core that is coupled via a flange to a tube that matches the chuck of the winding machine and a tube that is optimal in size for winding. To address wrinkles, it is necessary to increase the size of the winding core, but the increase in weight becomes an issue. With a glass epoxy winding core, these problems can be solved simultaneously.
