Maximum throughput with a small block size chassis.
The Stroker f/1.3 Raman Spectrometer series achieves the highest throughput among all miniature spectrometers on the market. The design starts with a high-efficiency HD volume phase holographic grating that provides maximum diffraction efficiency and extremely low stray light. At this f/#, a custom lens design with the correct AR coating is required for excellent image quality and high transmittance. Low-noise electronics that make up the system are used in the back-illuminated silicon array. The final step was to use a high NA fiber power converter to effectively couple all the light sampled from the laser spot into the slit. With this type of signal enhancement, TE cooling of the detector is no longer necessary. The integration time is very short, allowing low-power lasers to be used to obtain high SNR Raman spectra.

Applications/Examples of results
The unique f/1.3 Raman spectrometer design from Wasatch Photonics allows for sample collection in milliseconds, compared to competitors' spectrometers that take several seconds for measurements. One of the most important factors for Wasatch is the low f#. The f# describes the throughput of the spectrometer. A low f# means a larger collection angle, which in turn allows more Raman scattered light to be illuminated on the slit. As the signal increases, the integration time decreases. This enables 19 times more integration compared to competitors' spectrometers.

Stroker f/1.3 | The Stroker f/1.3 Raman Spectrometer series achieves the highest throughput among all miniature spectrometers on the market. |
CHEVELLE Raman Plate Reader | Sample preparation for Raman has become easier. The new Chevelle Raman Plate Reader, equipped with the Stroker 785 spectrometer, has arrived. With unprecedented throughput and laser power, this Raman plate reader has no equal in sensitivity. |
Stroker 785L | It is combined with the Stroker f/1.3 spectrometer featuring VPG (Volume Phase Grating) stabilization at 785nm. The front-end optical module matches the f/1.3 spectrometer input to maintain maximum efficiency. High-performance hard-coated filters are used to maximize transmittance and minimize Rayleigh scattering. 100mW stabilized laser, TEC, and VBG (Volume Bragg Grating). |
NOVA Handheld | We have integrated excellent VPH (Volume Phase Holographic) gratings to develop a high-sensitivity portable Raman spectrometer for material identification. Nova is the only lab-quality, high-throughput, handheld, lightweight Raman spectrometer solution for real-time non-destructive identification of chemicals and materials' "molecular fingerprints." |
BIGBLOCK F1.6 | • High throughput, high resolution • Excellent image quality spectrograph • HD volume phase grating • Compatibility with Andor camera line |
Stroker 532 f/1.3 | The Stroker f/1.3 series achieves the highest throughput among all miniature spectrometers on the market. The high-efficiency HD volume phase holographic grating provides maximum diffraction efficiency and extremely low stray light. The lens design with AR coating at f/# requires excellent image quality and high transmittance. Low-noise electronics that make up the system are used in the back-illuminated silicon array. |
Stroker 1064M Miniature 1064 | The Stroker f/1.3 1064 Raman spectrometer uses the free-space Stroker 1064LM Transparent Background HD VPHG (Volume Phase Holographic Grating) to provide the best throughput available in a miniature Raman spectrometer on the market. High-performance hard-coated filters maximize transmittance and minimize Rayleigh scattering. |
Stroker Magnum Micro Raman | It integrates a 10MP camera for high-resolution large housing performance with the f/1.3 Stroker 785L or f/1.3 1064 LM Raman spectrometer and microscope objective lenses in a compact package. The Magnum Micro Raman provides the capability for Raman acquisition on laser-targeted areas of heterogeneous samples by combining excellent features for Raman collection with visual verification of digital microscope imaging. |
