basic information
**Lecture Summary** Activated carbon, a representative of physical adsorption-type deodorants, has the advantage of being able to adsorb and remove various odors, but it has the drawback of being black and re-releasing the adsorbed odors. In contrast, chemical adsorption-type deodorants can only adsorb specific gases, but they are characterized by being white to light-colored and not re-releasing the adsorbed odors. Additionally, there are chemical adsorption deodorants tailored for each gas, so by combining them, it becomes possible to address various odors, and they have already been adopted in a wide range of applications. This presentation will explain chemical adsorption-type deodorants and their examples of application.
