It is convenient for remote use with Wi-Fi access points, hubs, and network cameras that support PoE power reception. The single-port fiber optic connection varies in transmission distance depending on the product model; with a two-core multimode fiber, the maximum distance is 2 km, and with a two-core single-mode fiber, it can reach up to 20 km. Most devices powered by PoE are intended for outdoor use, and within waterproof housing boxes, temperatures can drop to -40°C in cold regions. Even in Japan's average summer, without direct sunlight, the heat generated by electrical equipment can often exceed 60°C. In such cases, general products rated for 0-50°C may not last a year. Therefore, industrial-grade products are required for outdoor PoE switches.

It can operate in harsh environments (such as within outdoor waterproof housings, supporting temperatures from -40°C to +65°C) and can extend networks to remote locations using fiber optic cables that are unaffected by EMI noise, allowing connections to wireless access points, PoE-powered hubs, network cameras, and more, transmitting 10/100 networks. The power supply required is DC48V with a minimum of 1.5A. The recommended power supply is an industrial power supply capable of DC48V 2.5A input, compatible with AC88-132V/AC176-264V. It is robust as it does not have built-in cooling fans, and it has a long mean time between failures (MTBF) of 443,154 hours, making it suitable for long-term use.
