Realization of acceleration, high sensitivity, and simplification in the analysis of N-type glycan characteristics.
Waters
Innovative technology for the characterization of glycoproteins.
■Extraction of glycans from glycoproteins, labeling, and purification can be completed in just three steps in 30 minutes. This dramatically improves the throughput of glycan analysis. ■Thanks to a significant increase in sensitivity, reliable glycan analysis is possible even with trace amounts of glycoproteins. Glycan identification is achievable from as little as 0.1 μg of glycoprotein. ■By combining a fluorescence detector with MS, both quantification and mass information of trace glycans can be obtained simultaneously in a single analysis. This enables reliable and rapid glycan analysis. ■The GlycoWorks HILIC μElution plate allows for easy and rapid purification. No more drying down is necessary. ■Everything needed for glycan extraction, labeling, and purification is packaged together. You can start preparing glycans right away.

basic information
■ The method currently commonly used, which previously took more than a day for glycan preparation, is now completed in 30 minutes: glycan cleavage (15 minutes) + labeling (5 minutes) + purification (10 minutes). ■ The newly developed RapiFluor-MS reagent offers up to 14 times greater sensitivity in fluorescence and up to 1000 times greater sensitivity in MS compared to currently used glycan labeling. ■ The newly developed RapiFluor-MS reagent combines a highly sensitive fluorescent labeling site and an MS labeling site, allowing for the simultaneous acquisition of larger signals in both optical detection and MS detection. ■ The GlycoWorks HILIC μElution plate developed for glycan purification can purify 96 micro-samples in 10 minutes at once. ■ The GlycoWorks RapiFluor-MS N-Glycan kit includes everything needed for glycan cleavage: enzymes and buffers for cleavage, labeling reagents, purification solid-phase plates, and parts for sample collection.

Company information
Waters Corporation, headquartered in Milford, Massachusetts, USA, has played a pioneering role as a specialized manufacturer of liquid chromatography since its establishment in 1958. Actively engaged in the development of new products and technologies, it has grown into an international group company that supplies not only high-performance liquid chromatography but also mass spectrometers (MS) and thermal analysis instruments. Waters Japan started operations in 1973 (Showa 48) as the Japanese base of Waters Corporation. Inheriting the corporate ethos of the U.S. headquarters, we have made "Customer Success" our mission and continue to provide innovative technologies and lab solutions.
