Analysis of safety systems to protect human lives as much as possible.
Modern automobiles are largely electronically controlled. What I will introduce this time is the Advanced Crash Safety Module. This system changes the rotation rate of each of the four wheels while the car is swaying at high speeds, independently controlling the brakes and accelerator for each wheel. To control this, MEMS sensors are utilized, along with software algorithms applied to them. This system represents a significant level of difficulty among onboard systems. I will explain in detail what types of semiconductors are used in this module, as well as report on the prices at which various electronic components, including several types of MEMS sensors, are offered.

basic information
The main components number 12. Among them, the MEMS sensors are made by different manufacturers, such as Bosch and Panasonic, indicating that the MEMS sensors are not all from the same manufacturer. Additionally, there is not just one type of microcontroller. This highlights how complex the safety control system is. It is difficult to purchase automotive systems individually, and their analysis requires considerable effort, but this report reveals how the Advanced Crash Safety Module is constructed.

Applications/Examples of results
To understand the in-vehicle systems, it is necessary to either purchase a car and disassemble it as is, or buy modules and disassemble them. However, it is difficult to ascertain the product prices, and one can grasp those prices. When selling products for automotive use or developing products for automotive applications, it starts with understanding how they are constructed. This report is ideal for use as the first step in conducting that investigation.
