Its soft material makes it easy to remove from storage equipment, which is an advantage. It is mainly produced through press processing using molds. ■ Polyethylene Foam A sponge with high airtightness and a slightly harder texture. It has good machinability and is used for processing complex shapes through cutting. 【Interior Sponge Production Using Cutting Machines】 ■ No initial costs (mold production costs) are required. This provides a price advantage for small lots. ■ TAKACHI has introduced a combined processing machine with vibrating blades and cutting drills, enabling the processing of complex shapes. ■ It allows for recessed processing with freely adjustable depths, which cannot be replicated with molds. *Note: In the case of recessed processing, traces of machining will remain on the finished surface. 【Press Processing Production Using Molds】 ■ Mold costs are required, but for large lots (approximately 30 to 50 pieces or more), the unit price is lower, providing a cost advantage. ■ Since processing can be done under the same conditions, it allows for a finish with minimal individual variation. ■ Only through holes can be processed. ■ When processing thicker materials made of polyethylene (harder), warping may occur in the cross-section.
