basic information
The 3-component force sensor is installed between two flanges with a preload applied. Compression and tensile forces can be measured in any direction. The sensor generates a charge proportional to the applied force according to the principle of the piezoelectric effect. The 3-component force sensor is designed with a simple and vibration-resistant high rigidity to achieve a high natural frequency necessary for measuring large dynamic forces. The outputs of the four force sensor units are wired in a summing box to enable the measurement of orthogonal 3 components Fx, Fy, Fz, or a total of 6 components of force and moment Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz. The four force sensors are assembled with grounded insulation, significantly reducing noise from ground loops. The 3-component force sensor kit is treated for rust prevention and has waterproof capabilities against cutting fluids and coolants. When used with connection cables 1687B.../1677..., it can achieve protection class IP67.
