basic information
The advantages of vacuum casting include shorter lead times and lower costs compared to molds. Inserts and different types of casting are relatively easy. Some undercuts can be accommodated without the need for cores. The disadvantages are that the casting material is thermosetting resin, so it cannot be used for actual strength tests, etc. Additionally, it lacks the fine precision compared to molds. It is not suitable for mass production, with only about 20 to 30 shots per silicone mold or type 1.
