basic information
Our "Tabletop Hemming" is suitable for medium-lot automotive cover parts molding. Compared to conventional methods, it enables hemming processing in a very small space. Generally, hemming processing uses large presses, but the significant investment in press machines and molds, along with the time required for mold changes in rod production, pose challenges. Additionally, there is a need to supply cover parts for 10 years after production ends, which requires securing space for mold storage. In contrast, the tabletop hemming method uses a C-frame with a preliminary bending blade and a main bending blade, where the outer panel and inner panel set on the lower mold are hydraulically raised and crimped. This allows for equipment investment to be reduced to about half that of the press method, while also significantly shrinking the equipment footprint.
