【Case Study】 Improving the Inflow of Outside Air with Air Curtains (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture / Commercial Facility) The ropeway Sakuragicho station, equipped with a 2-way air curtain, has the second floor designated as the ticket sales area and the waiting line area for the ropeway. The stairs leading to this second floor face outdoors, and although there are automatic doors, the wind blowing up along the stairs (warm air in summer and cold air in winter) has been a concern. Every time the automatic doors open and close due to user traffic, outside air would blow into the ticket sales area on the second floor, causing discomfort for visiting customers. To address this issue, we were looking for a solution that could "block outside air even when the automatic doors are open," and that led us to air curtains.
