The SI-65FA is an isolated model of an interface converter (serial-to-LAN conversion adapter) that connects control devices and measuring instruments with only RS-422/RS-485 serial communication ports to an Ethernet LAN. The LAN interface section incorporates a module from Lantronix, which converts RS-422/RS-485 communication data into LAN protocols such as TCP/IP and sends it to the LAN side, while data from the LAN is automatically controlled and transmitted using an RS-485 driver. Isolation using optocouplers is applied between the LAN and RS-422/485 signals, ensuring high reliability. It has a built-in AC power supply that supports wide input, eliminating the need for an AC adapter. With a wide operating temperature range that accommodates minus 20 degrees Celsius, a robust metal housing, and compatibility with 35mm DIN rail mounting, it is an ideal interface converter for factory automation applications. Additionally, the SI-65FA-L adopts a wall-mounted enclosure while retaining the same functionality as the SI-65FA. It can be securely fixed to the wall using screws from the top surface of the unit without any additional options.
