Large resin molded product "Achilles Teflon" using RIM molding.
RIM large molded products
Free design and shape for industrial robots! RIM molding that can accommodate large molded products over 2 meters.
"Achilles Teflon" is a rigid rim molding that allows for the flexible shaping of large items exceeding 2 meters by using liquid raw materials. It features a high degree of design freedom that meets the demands of designers and engineers for "better designs at lower costs." It is also beneficial for reducing the cost of molds for large molded products and for producing multiple items. 【Features】 ■ Ideal for large molded products: Capable of creating large molded items exceeding 2 meters in size. ■ High design quality: Easy to achieve thick and uneven wall sections. ■ Low initial costs: Mold costs are low, making it suitable for a variety of products and medium to small production runs. ■ Three selectable types: Choose the appropriate material type based on application and purpose.

basic information
RIM molding, short for Reaction Injection Molding, is a method known as reaction injection molding. Liquid raw materials are instantaneously mixed in a mixing head, injected into a mold, and then reactively cured and plasticized. Because the raw materials are in liquid form, the resin can spread throughout the mold even at low injection pressures, allowing for the realization of large molded products at a low cost. There are three types of "Achilles Teflon," which can be selected according to their applications, expanding new possibilities for product design. "Achilles Teflon-D"… High impact resistance and weather resistance "Achilles Teflon-N"… Balances strength and cost "Achilles Teflon-U"… Foam material for flexible design
