More stable and highly reproducible measurements are possible.
When measuring hardness with a durometer using a hand-held method, factors such as individual differences can lead to variations in the measurement values. Therefore, the measurement stand, which has been commercialized as a more stable and reproducible measurement method, is specified by JIS and ISO standards.

basic information
● Hardness measurements using a durometer can be performed at the load and speed specified by the standards, simply by operating the switch. ● By adopting a stepping motor drive, the variability of data from manual rubber hardness measurements has been greatly improved, resulting in stable measurement values. ● An alignment unit has been equipped that achieves high adhesion between the durometer's indenter (measuring probe) and the sample.

Applications/Examples of results
Type A and Type E durometers can measure 1 kg as is. For measurements with Type D, the optional 5 kg weight MD15Y-046T is required. The digital durometer (MD15SD-**T series) requires the optional 1 kg weight MD15Y-090T for measurements.
