This pedestrian bridge is located within a park famous for the ancient burial mound where the first known example of kanji, the large sword, was excavated. The bridge, which was made of foreign timber, was renovated due to aging. The main girders were replaced with steel materials that have been hot-dip galvanized, and the flooring was replaced with cedar wood.
